Administrative / Biographical History

The estate consisted of properties in Llandyfodwg, Llangeinor, Llanharan, Glamorgan, and Ystradgynlais, Breconshire. It was the property of the Blandy Jenkins family of Llanharan House, Glamorgan, and of Kingston Bagpuize, Berkshire. John Blandy (1815-1844) assumed the surname Jenkins on inheritance from his maternal great-uncle Richard Hoare Jenkins (who died 1856). He married Caroline Poyntz in 1837.
