  • Twenty-one letters written by or on behalf of James Watson, stockbroker, of Old Post Office Court (later 3 South Frederick Street), Glasgow, to John Robertson & Co, stockbrokers, 15 Royal Exchange, Edinburgh dated 18 January 1834 to 3 February 1837. They reveal astute working of the market on behalf of individual clients. Bank stock, industrials, canal stock and insurance figure in the various speculations.

James Watson was a stockbroker active in Glasgow, Scotland, between at least 1834 and 1837 . He was based at Old Post Office Court and later 3 South Frederick Street, Glasgow. He undertook some work on behalf of John Robertson & Co, stockbrokers, 15 Royal Exchange, Edinburgh, Scotland.
