Papers of Tom Euroswydd Afan Richards, comprising letters, 1918-1942; papers relating to radio broadcasts, 1927-1932; concert programmes, 1924-1945; press cuttings relating to his career as a musician, including his conductorship of the Haverfordwest Music/Choral Society, and as a broadcaster and eisteddfod adjudicator, c.1910-1947; correspondence, press cuttings and photographs reflecting his involvement with amateur boxing in Swansea, c.1958-1965; and miscellaneous items.

Administrative / Biographical History

Tom Euroswydd Afan Richards (1898-1966) of Haverfordwest, later of Swansea, spent part of his career as a professional singer in London. He was also conductor of the Haverfordwest Musical/Choral Society and eisteddfod adjudicator. After moving to Swansea, apparently in the late 1950s, he was involved with amateur boxing as a writer, broadcaster and administrator.

Arranged into six files as follows: letters; papers relating to radio broadcasts; concert programmes; press cuttings relating to his musical career and eisteddfod adjudication; papers reflecting his activities in Swansea, particularly boxing; and miscellaneous.
