The group contains papers concerning Alister Hardy, and the Religious Experience Research Centre collected by Mr John Keeble . Mr Keeble subsequently donated the papers and an accompanying list of contents to the Alister Hardy Religious Experience Research Centre Archive. Included amongst the papers are Keeble's notes on Alister Hardy, and correspondence and transcripts of interviews he conducted with Hardy's family, friends and acquaintances; correspondence between Keeble and Hardy's school and former places of work; copies of Hardy's books, and books by others concerning Hardy and religious experience; press cuttings relating to Hardy and religious experience; Keeble's book on Hardy, This Unnamed Something; copies of catalogues of the Hardy archival material held at the Bodleian Library, Oxford, and the University of Hull; material relating to RERU, AHRC and RERC research projects; correspondence, minutes and other administrative papers rescued by Keeble from the former AHRC office at George St. Oxford; papers relating to the establishment of RERU, and letters and miscellaneous ephemera by or concerning Hardy and collected by Keeble.
