Nantymoel Industrial Co-operative was for a long time during the early twentieth century one of the larger societies in terms of member numbers and trade figures in the Garw and Ogmore Valleys of South Wales. However, by the 1960s Nantymoel Industrial Co-operative had joined the Co-operative Retail Services (CRS). The CRS took over the responsibilities for co-operative societies facing problems of survival.
