COWICK, HOLY TRINITY PARISH RECORDS

This parish was created out of the parish of Snaith; the township of East and West Cowick lay formerly in the parish of Snaith. It had become a parochial district or district chapelry by 1852, when baptisms were being conducted in a licensed room in Cowick Hall. The churches of Cowick, Hensall and Pollington were designed by William Butterfield, working on a commission from the seventh viscount Downe.

The churches of Cowick, Hensall and Pollington were designed by William Butterfield for the seventh viscount Downe. A brief study of the three churches is to be found amongst the records of Hensall, St Paul (Doncaster Archives reference P75).

A photocopy of entries from a burial register, 1949-1998 can be found at ref. DZMZ/114 and the original is still held at the church.
