This collection contains papers relating to A.E. Morgan's personal and professional lives. Work files include student essays by A.E. Morgan; correspondence and other papers relating to his work at the Universities of Exeter, Sheffield and McGill and the University College of Hull; newspaper cuttings, reviews and articles relating to A.E. Morgan's work and publications; correspondence, reports and notebooks relating to his work at the British Council, and correspondence relating to his Wardenship of Toynbee Hall.
There is also a series of published volumes and articles written by A.E. Morgan, and published reviews of works by A.E. Morgan, as well as a series of appointment diaries kept by A.E. Morgan, containing brief handwritten notes relating to visits, trips, meetings and other events, including very brief notes on his time in the army during the First World War. The collection also includes files of personal correspondence containing letters sent by A.E. Morgan whilst travelling abroad for his role at the British Council, as well as files of mixed personal and work correspondence, relating to his work in general, his publications, personal news and his involvement with charitable organisations such as the National Association of Boys' Clubs.
