Glyneiddan Papers,

Deeds and documents relating to Glyneiddan, Nantgaredig, and other premises in Carmarthenshire, 1785-1955, and papers of Henry Jones-Davies, relating to local government in Carmarthenshire, 1895-1950; and to agriculture, 1910-1945, especially to agricultural co-operatives in Wales.

Glyneiddan is in the parish of Llanegwad, Carmarthenshire. It is not clear where the Jones-Davies family came from, nor when they moved to Glyneiddan, unless they are related to Lewis Jones MD (fl. 1830-1862) of Gellyglyd, also in the parish of Llanegwad. Henry Jones-Davies (1870-1955) certainly lived at Glyneiddan from about 1892. He was a chairman of the Carmarthen county council and local Liberal politician with a particularly keen interest in local and Welsh agricultural societies.
