Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Glyneiddan is in the parish of Llanegwad, Carmarthenshire. It is not clear where the Jones-Davies family came from, nor when they moved to Glyneiddan, unless they are related to Lewis Jones MD (fl. 1830-1862) of Gellyglyd, also in the parish of Llanegwad. Henry Jones-Davies (1870-1955) certainly lived at Glyneiddan from about 1892. He was a chairman of the Carmarthen county council and local Liberal politician with a particularly keen interest in local and Welsh agricultural societies.
Arrangement
Arranged chronologically within the following sections: deeds and documents, the public service and family history of Henry Jones-Davies, papers of agricultural interest, correspondence, pamphlets, and photographs, maps, posters, etc.
