In a western style half-leather binding. Title from naidai. Hashiragaki: Tsūki 通紀 + maki no. + folio no. Edition: The only movable type edition of this work. Based on a Chinese Ming edition, as attested by reprinted prefaces dated 弘治十四年 (1501) and 弘治癸亥歳 (1503) and by two batsu dated 嘉靖壬戌 (1562) and 嘉靖癸亥 (1563). Contents: An account of the genealogy of Confucius, his sayings and acts during his lifetime, followed by details of his descendants and disciples and of ceremonies connected with him.

- 1 volume Condition: Good, but with some unrepaired worm damage and slight staining on lower margins. Impression: Fairly sharp and clear, showing little evidence of worn type. Seals of ownership: Oblong red seal of Sir Ernest Satow, 英國薩道藏書, on first page of maki 1, 3, 5, and 7 (i.e. of each former satsu). Manuscript notes: Occasional headnotes in upper margin, and red reading marks in first preface. A manuscript copy (Meiji period) of the batsubun dated Keichō 5 (1600) from the Fushimi 伏見 edition of Jōgan seiyō 貞觀政要 has been bound into this book, following the last folio of maki 8.
