G.W. Quick Smith, a barrister and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport, has a close involvement in commercial road transport administration over a long period, from being Secretary and Legal adviser to the Road Haulage Association before the war, to Chief Executive of the National Freight Corporation to his retirement in 1971.
