Particulars of Sale for the Wilton Estate in Pickering, North Yorkshire

Administrative / Biographical History

The Estate is described in the particulars as being 'on a southern slope 4 miles from the Market Town of Pickering' with the village situated in the centre of the Estate which comprised practically the entire parish.

The estate appears to be have been sold for £35,000 to Mr Thomas Place (see U DDHO3/35/). There is a printed plan believed to be from the sale catalogue (see U DDHO3/35/39).
