Two printed certificates, awarded to Miss Dorothy Edith Emery for passing the examination of the Central Midwives Board (15 Augsut 1925) and completing a course of instruction and training in midwifery at the Sick Room Help Society Maternity Hospital, Whitechapel (15 November 1925).

Administrative / Biographical History

Miss Dorothy Edith Emery (fl. 1910-1930) trained as a midwife at the Sick Room Help Society Maternity Hospital in Whitechapel. She went on to pass the examination of the Central Midwives Board in 1925.
