This collection comprises an ms letter, written by the Sister at the British Hospital for Mothers and Babies in Woolwich to Emily Restbury (10 May 1923), congratulating her on completing her midwifery training, together with a ms letter of recommendation, from the Superintendent Midwife of the BHMB (2 September 1937), also accompanied by two newspaper cuttings (circa. 1940-1960), regarding the marriage of her parents, as well as a photograph of her mother aged 95 (1987).

Emily Restbury, nee Dear (fl. 1910-1990) was a midwife who trained at the British Hospital for Mothers and Babies between 1922 and 1923. She then went on to practice in Enfield, Essex.
