Papers of Miss D. S. Aulton

This collection comprises an ms register of antenatal records, compiled by Miss D. S. Aulton (11 June 1945-26 April 1946), detailing the name, address, pregnancy history, current condition and pelvic measurements of each expectant mother that she attended as a midwife in Birmingham, together with a book of completed midwives forms for sending for medical aid (26 January 1969-31 August 1970), recording the personal information of women she came across experiencing complications during childbirth during her time practicing as a midwife in Nottingham, including the stage of labour and particulars of why the doctor was needed, also accompanied by a midwives drugs book (26 September 1956-9 May 1960), concerning the administration of drugs to her patients.

Miss D. S. Aulton (fl. 1930-1980) was a midwife who practiced in Birmingham and then Nottingham during the middle of the twentieth century.
