Administrative / Biographical History

This company was incorporated as the Clwyd Steamship Company Limited in 1909, the principal shareholders being R & D Jones Limited, shipbrokers. Its name was changed to Clwyd Shipping and Forwarding Limited in 1963. In 1966 it was acquired by the national road haulage and warehousing company, the Transport Development Group.
