Alternative title, "Memoirs of Papa Maurice Nixon, 1906-1980", being an ccount of the life of the Rev Maurice Nixon and Mrs Jean Nixon, including their service with the London Missionary Society in Papua.

Administrative / Biographical History

Maurice Nixon was born on 21 Sep 1906 at Sunderland. He trained at Lancashire College. He was ordained on 24 Sep 1931. He married Jeanie Newbold Boardman on 25 Sep 1931. He was appointed to Papua by the London Missionary Society, and sailed on 16 Oct 1931. They were stationed at Port Moresby until 1932, Moru from 1932 to 1939, Fife Bay from 1939 to 1952, and Hula from 1953. He retired in 1967. Mrs Dixon died in Sydney on 25 Jun 1979.
