Custodial History

Extract of letter from W. W. Gill, Sydney, 7 Feb 1895, addressed to Mr [Wardlaw] Thompson and adhered to the inside cover indicates that the manuscript was handed to the London Missionary Society by him in 1895, as a friend of the late Rev R. Thomson who died at sea in [1851] before he could complete the work. The manuscript was given to Gill by the widowed daughter of the author.
