Compiled as part of preparation for PhD dissertation prepared by G. M. Sheahan, Jr., Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, entitled 'A Study in Acculturation: The Marquesas Islands'. Comprises bibliographies and transcripts of unpublished missionary sources, edited by the author, relating to the Marquesas Islands. Transcripts include sources in the archive of the London Missionary Society, including letters by Rev William P. Crook, Crook's Marquesan Grammar, and Journals by LMS missionaries G. Stallworthy and R. Thomson, and sources held at the Mitchell Library, Australia.
