Quick took the LSA in 1829 and the MRCS in 1835; he received the MD from Glasgow University in 1839. He was a superintendent at the County Lunatic Asylum, Dorsetshire. In 1846 he was living in Greenheys, Manchester. Details of his later career are not known.
