Administrative / Biographical History

Ian Houston was educated at the University of Manchester, receiving the MB ChB in 1955, the DCH in 1959 and the MD in 1965 He was a former Nuffield Foundation medical Fellow at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York from 1965-7. In 1963 he was appointed lecturer in child health at the University of Manchester, and was elected to the chair of child health in 1974.
