Kenneth Harrison 1913-1991.

Harrison gained his medical qualifications from the University of Manchester in 1938. He held junior appointments in Manchester and Birmingham. Harrison served in the RAF during the second world war, returning to Manchester to specialise in ENT. In 1951 he was appointed lecturer in otolaryngology at the University of Manchester, with clinical duties at MRI and the Christie Hospital. From the late nineteen-fifties, Harrison was consultant ENT surgeon to the Stockport and Buxton Hospital Group and honorary consultant otologist to the Royal Schools for the Deaf, Manchester. He was awarded the Hunterian Professorship of the RCS in 1954 and held senior positions in the sections of otology and laryngology of the Royal Society of Medicine. In the 1960s, Harrison was a member of council of MMS and of the British Association of Otolaryngologists.
