Jordan studied medicine at Manchester Royal School of Medicine and took the conjoint diploma in 1873. He was a medical officer for the Heaton Norris district of Stockport and a general practice in Heaton Moor, Stockport. He was the author of the Life of Joseph Jordan. (1904).
