Administrative / Biographical History
The Pembrokeshire Insurance Committee dealt with family doctors, dentists and pharmaceutical arrangements in Pembrokeshire, overseeing arrangements for the funding of medical services to those who paid National Insurance contributions. Following the National Health Service Act 1946, Local Executive Councils were established to replace Insurance Committees.
