Iain David Anderson, b 1960.

Anderson was born on 18 October 1960 and studied medicine at the University of Manchester, qualifying in 1983. He gained the FRCS in 1987. Anderson held resident appointments at MRI and Hope Hospital. He was research fellow in the University of Manchester Department of Surgery before being appointed registrar in surgery at North Manchester Hospital in 1989. Anderson was later consultant surgeon at Hope Hospital. Anderson was Hunterian Professor of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1996. He was a member of Manchester Medical Society .
