This volume contains the first part of a treatise on materia medica, the names of the various items being arranged according to the ebced system and given in Arabic, Persian, Greek, Syriac and Ottoman Turkish. The Greek and Syriac terms are provided in Arabic transcription. According to a note on f 1v, the author was Paşazade Ahmet-i Akhısari, but in the text he is simply called Paşazade Ahmedi. The title is also given as Müfredat-i ecza on f 197r and Cevheri on f 1v. No other copies of this work appear to be recorded. This manuscript was copied in 1111 AH (1699-1700 CE). The medical treatise is followed by a Sufi tract entitled Kuvvet el-arifin beyn hasanat el-ebrar ve'l-mukarrebin by Şeyh Sunullah. Part of the tract has become displaced in the binding and appears at the end of the manuscript. This text was copied in 1113 AH (1701-02 CE) in a hand identical to that of the first text.
