Thomas Smith of Cambridge grants to the Rt. Rev. Thomas [Dove] Bp. Of Peterborough the sum of £50 payable to T. Smith out of the office of [Reyveship?] & Actuaryship belonging to the Bp. of Peterborough, by virtue of award made by Mr. Edward Gay and Mr. Thomas Iles of London between the said T. Smith and Robert Hall of the one party and John Lambe of Northampton of the other party on the 12th Aug. 1606. [T]ogether with the sum of 1000 marks remaining in the custody of Edward Watkinson, citizen and haberdasher of London wherein the said John Lambe standeth bound. Witnesses: William Dove, Humfrye Rowe, William Bunbow, Tho. Amy, public notary, and Morton Drayton, [sen.?].
