Walter T. Morgan (1912-1990) was an Assistant Keeper in the Department of Manuscripts and Records at the National Library of Wales between 1946 and 1975, and he also spent time in Iceland during the second world war. He learned several languages, including Icelandic, but his main interest was church history. The subject of his university thesis was the consistory courts of the diocese of St. Davids, 1660-1858, and he published articles in The Journal of the Historical Society of the Church in Wales, The National Library of Wales Journal and Cylchgrawn Cymdeithas Hanes y Methodistiaid Calfinaidd.
