Although these albums contain mostly photographs, other items were pasted in here too, such as old family letters and postcards.
With a few exceptions, the albums were used by G.W. Reeves (who seems to have been a keen amateur photographer) to record family events, including regular holidays to Great Yarmouth, and local events at Henley, such as important festivals, royal visits and floods. They therefore have considerable interest as the record of a family from the turn of the century.
