These records were deposited as Acc 6880 in July 2021, Acc 6931 in January 2022, Acc 7041 in January 2023 and Acc 7097 in October 2023. The collection includes minutes of council and annual parish meetings, receipts and payments books, overseers of the poor's and rent account's book, councillors' declarations of acceptance of office, bank books and photographs.
Originally called Appleton Parish Council at its formation in 1894, it appears from the minutes that the council took its present name in 1941.
