It's remit was to develop the College's Faculty Development Framework, reviewing and maintaining it through surveys of trainers and of RCOG educational tools, and to coordinate the RCOG's input into the development of the new national accreditation and recognition trainer scheme by the General Medical Council. Also included in the remit was the development of an annual competition for identifying and recognising the best trainers in UK obstetrics and gynaecology.
