Indian scrapbooks of the Haig family

Scrapbooks kept by Neil and Gerard Haig and other members of their family, with related papers.

Brigadier-General Neil Wolseley Haig (1868-1926) was born on 30 October 1868, the cousin of Sir Douglas Haig, later Field-Marshal. He joined the Inniskilling Dragoons, and served in South Africa, 1899-1900, and in the European War, 1914-1918, retiring in 1922. He died on 18 April 1926. Gerard Beatrice Fitz-Gerald Creagh was born in Plymouth on 12 May 1887, the daughter of Major-General Fitz-Gerald Creagh. She married Neil Haig on 16 July 1913.
