Scope and Content

The Neptune Rowing Club was founded in 1863 and was originally called The Vanguard Rowing Club. In 1968 it merged with the Hannington Rowing Club to form the City of Oxford Rowing Club. The City of Oxford Mariners Rowing Club was formed in 1933 for 'old rowing enthusiasts'. Related material can be found in the Local Studies collections at classmark PA OXFO 797.1.
