A typescript copy of 'Recollections of a Border childhood' written c.1984 by Professor Emyr Estyn Evans, CBE (1905-89), geographer and folklorist (NLW ex 1370). For recollections by Estyn Evans's father, the Reverend George Owen Evans, see NLW ex 658. Two notebooks containing a record of field work undertaken by Estyn Evans, 1930-5, on behalf of the Board of Celtic Studies; together with related items including two letters, 1935, from Edgar Jones (1868-1953), Barry, and a letter, 1935, from his son Gareth Vaughan Jones (1905-35) (NLW ex 1371-2).
