Scope and Content

'A breefe discourse of ancient Monuments..' (heading, with variants, fol. 1). Original drafts and collections for John Weever's Ancient Funerall Monuments. Very divergent from the printed text, including unpublished material. Much added annotation by Weever. A rough index to the printed text (1631), fols. ii-xxix verso. Later annotations in red throughout, 18th century, give references to the printed text.
