That Nicholl Wood, gent., is a Coroner for the County and has absented himself for the past two years and is residing in France.

That at the Quarter Sessions, held at Cardiff for the County, 12 Jan. 1830, it was ordered that the Clerk of the Peace inform Nicholl Wood that unless he returned the Court would take steps to remove him from his office.

That on 6 Mar. 1830 a writing tendering the resignation of Nicholl Wood, dated 6 Feb. 1830, was received. That the Justices ordered that such resignation be accepted; but that such resignation is not sufficient.

That at the Quarter Sessions, held at Neath, 28 June [1831], it was ordered that the Chairman take steps for the removal of the said Nicholl Wood from his office of Coroner.

The Petitioners therefore pray for a Writ de Coronatore amovendo for discharging the said Nicholl Wood and also for a Writ de Coronatore Eligendo for the said County of Glamorgan.
