Henry Scott Riddell was a poet, born in 1798  in Sorbie, north of Langholm, in Dumfries & Galloway. His poetry was deeply influenced by the Teviotdale, the valley of the Teviot, Roxburghshire, Scotland. poet, was buried at Teviothead. He later became a minister in Teviotside and wrote Scotland Yet while out for a walk in a lonely glen at Teviothead, where he was also buried in 1870 .
