Scope and Content

This work contains the second volume of the annals of the Ottoman Empire composed by the Teşrifatçi Mehmet Emin Edip Efendi (died 1216 AH/1801-02 CE), covering the period from the accession of Sultan Selim III in 1203 AH (1789 CE) to the end of 1206 AH (1792 CE). The history is largely confined to events taking place in Istanbul. This copy was likely produced in the late 18th or early 19th centuries CE.
