Scope and Content

This volume contains copies of 29 letters of political content by Ziya Paşa (died 1297 AH/1880 CE) to friends between 1270 AH (1853-54 CE) and 1288 AH (1871-72 CE), some written during his period of exile. There are two tebriknameler for the New Year (ff 5v, 6v), the former being addressed to Talat Paşa. These copies of letters were likely produced during the latter half of the 19th century CE.
