Scope and Content

This volume contains a romantic mesnevi by Hamdi Çelebi (died 914 AH/1509 CE) completed in 897 AH (1491-92 CE). The text contains nine quarter-page illustrations (ff 30v, 49r, 54v, 112r, 131r, 149v, 156r, 182r, and 205v), some of which have been defaced. It also contains an illuminated unvan. These all appear to be contemporary with the manuscript. The manuscript was likely copied in the first half of the 17th century CE.
