Scope and Content

This volume contains the collected poetry of Hüseyin Vehbi (died 1149 AH/1736-37 CE). The Divan begins with verses on the tevhit (ff 1v-2r), followed by na't (ff 2r-3r), and Rubaiyat der na't (ff 3r-5v), followed by further na't (f 6r), and kasideler (ff 6b-125r), mostly in praise of Ahmet III and his Grand Vizier, and mixed with tahmisat and terkibibentler. This section is followed by gazeller (ff 126v-172r). The remaining sections of the Divan are chronograms (ff 173v-199v), tahmisat (ff 200v-209r), lügaziyat (ff 210v-213v), various Arz-i hal poems (ff 214v-217r), miscellaneous poems (ff 217v-221v), Rubaiyat (ff 221v-225r) and müfredat (ff 225v-229r). The last item in this copy is a versified letter entitled Vehbi-yi merhum Halep menlasıyken kitabi-i Sadr-i Ali Nevrese gönderdiği manzum mektubudur. The text contains 5 unvans. The manuscript was likely copied in the 18th century CE.
