This volume contains the second part of the fourth rukn which covers events from the accession of Sultan Kanunî Süleyman to the reign of Sultan Mehmet III (926-1005 AH/1520-97 CE), with biographies of the notables of each reign. This copy, however, is defective and ends (f 252r) with the death of Sultan Selim II in 982 AH (1574-75 CE). On f 286r, however, part of a previous rukn appears in the text containing events of the reign of Sultan Selim I, and on f 162r and elsewhere, events which took place in the reign of Mehmet III are described. This seems to be a composite copy made up of both the first and second parts of the fourth rukn. The last notice in the manuscript is of the poet Nihani. The manuscript was copied by a number of different hands, likely in the 18th century CE.
