Scope and Content

This volume contains the following three works of poetry :. (I) ff 1v-20r : Divan-i Atıf Mustafa Efendi (died 1155 AH/1742-43 CE), beginning with a poem entitled Der vasf-i İzzet Ali Bey Defteri-i şıkk-i evvel der vakt-ı kitabet. The Divan proper, which consists mainly of gazeller, begins after this. The text was copied in 1209 AH (1794-95 CE);. (II) ff 21v-34v : A selection from the Divan of Hazık Mehmet Erzerumi (died 1177 AH/1763-64 CE). The text begins with a na't, followed by a tahmis on a gazel of Agah and the Divan proper commences on f 25v. The work was copied by Seyit Cafer Mir called Tevfik es-Sifahani, who also made this selection from the poems of Hazık. No date has been given, but it was likely in the late 18th century CE;. (III) ff 37v-63r : Hubanname, a mesnevi describing the merits and defects of the boys of various nations by Fazıl Bey Enderuni. This is preceded by some gazeller by Rağıp Hayreddin Paşa (ff 35v-36v). The text was copied in 1210 AH (1795 CE).
