Scope and Content

This volume contains the poetical works of Keçecizade Mehmet İzzet Molla (died 1245 AH/1829-30 CE). The Divan begins with a prose preface (ff 1v-5r), followed by a section called Nu'ut-i risalet ve Al-i Resul (ff 5v-17v). After this come kasideler (ff 17v-62v), chronograms (ff 63v-122v), and gazeller (ff 122v-244r). The last sections of the Divan are the tahmisat (ff 244v-266r), a sakiname (ff 266r-269r), and mukattaat (ff 269r-296v) containing also matali, müfredat and some short mesneviler. There is one unvan in the text. The manuscript was copied by Derviş İsmail in 1246 AH (1830-31 CE).
