Scope and Content

This volume contains forty ebyat from the Mesnevi of Celaleddin Rumi, with metrical commentary by Cevri (İbrahim Çelebi, died 1065 AH/1654-55 CE). This is preceded by a takriz on the work by Vefai Emir Çelebi. A previous owner of the work has recorded the birth of their children (ff 109v-110r) at dates ranging between 1270 AH (1853-54 CE) and 1283 AH (1866-67 CE). This manuscript was likely copied in the early 19th century CE.
