This volume contains a collection of letters attributed to Veysi (died 1037 AH/1627-28 CE) on the first folio. Many of the letters bear rubrics stating the names of the addressees but not of the writers. It is likely that, as several of the letters are addressed to contemporaries of Veysi with whom he is known to have corresponded, the attribution is correct. Towards the end of the volume the rubrics tend to become fewer. The last letter cannot be by Veysi as it is addressed to Süleyman Han - perhaps Süleyman II (reigned 1687-91 CE). The letters are largely congratulatory in nature, written to important persons on their having been appointed Grand Vizier. The following names appear as addressees: Ali Paşa, a kapudan (f 4r); Nasuh Paşa (ff 5v, 8v, 10r, 11v, 12v); Dilaver Paşa (f 14r); Cafer Paşa (ff 16r, 17r); Hafız Ahmet Paşa (ff 18v, 19v, 21v, 22v, 24v, 26r); Haccı Paşa (f 26v); Osman Paşa (f 27v); Mustafa Efendi, called Fahrü'l-Küttab (f 28v); Mehmet Rıza Bey (ff 29v, 31r); Es'at Efendi (f 33r); followed by a letter of condolence to the Şeyh-ül-İslâm on the death of his brother, Abdülaziz Efendi (f 34r); a letter to Abdülganizade on the occasion of his being made Kazıasker of Anatolia a second time (f 35r); a letter of condolence to Hocazade Mehmet, the Şeyh-ül-İslâm (f 36r); to Abdülaziz Efendi when made Kazıasker of Rumelia (f 37r); to Abdülganizade a second time (f 38v); to Dukaginzade (Dukagjini) Osman Efendi, a kadı (ff 39v, 40v); Abdülkerim Efendi, Kadı of Yenişehir (ff 42v, 43v, 45r); Rızvan Efendi (f 45v); Muharrem Efendi (f 49v), Sabri Çelebi (f 50v); and Süleyman Han (f 52v). The volume is undated, but was likely copied in the 18th century CE.
