Scope and Content

This volume contains a description of the ten Derviş orders by Ömer İbn-i Mehmet Karakaşzade, who died in 1047 AH (1673-74 CE). It is dedicated to the Grand Vizier, Ali Paşa. According to an article by Abdülbaki Gölpınarlı, the Nurü'l-hüda is a plagiarism of an earlier work by Vahidi, enlarged and elaborated by Karakaşzade to conform to the taste of the period (see Or 8062). This copy is provided with a table of contents (ff 1v-2v) and contains a single unvan. The manuscript was probably copied in the early 17th century CE.
