This volume contains an anthology of selected Ottoman Turkish poetry arranged according to the eight principle metres. It contains 4000 gazeller by 125 different poets with nazireler by the author Mehmet Nazmi of Edirne (died 962 AH/1555 CE). The first poem is a gazel by Usuli. The first ten folios are in a different hand than that of the rest of the volume, which begins with a poem by the author Nazmi. The spine of the work is lettered as Naẕāʾir ul-eşᶜār, folowing the title given on f 1r. The manuscript was likely copied in the 16th century CE.
