Scope and Content

This volume contains the poems of Hayreti (died 941 AH/1534-35 CE) and begins with a tevhit. This is followed by a na't, a poem in praise of Hasan and Hüseyin, and kasideler (ff 1v-28v). The gazeller are found next (ff 28v-108v). The remaining sections of the Divan are as follows: (1) Mukattaat (ff 108v-109v); (2) a Şehrengiz in praise of the beauties of Belgrade (ff 109v-118r); (3) another Şehrengiz (ff 118r-122v); (4) a mesnevi (ff 123v-135r); and (5) another mesnevi entitled Mahabbetname (ff 135v-155v). The manuscript was copied by Mehmet İbn-i Sinan known as Garibi in 971 AH (1563-64 CE).
