Scope and Content

This volume contains the following three texts :. (I) ff 1-119r : Leyla ve Mecnun, a romance written in 905 AH (1499-1500 CE) by Hamdi, followed by sayings of the Prophet Muhammad صلعم extracted from the Muhit (ff 119r-130r);. (II) ff 130v-150v : Deh murg, an ethical mesnevi dedicated to Selim I by Şemsi;. (III) ff 151r-169v : Gestiname, an anonymous metrical life of the Prophet Muhammad صلعم translated from a Persian prose original. The text is defective at the end. The manuscript was copied in 998 AH (1589-90 CE) by Abdülkerim İbn-i Bekr.
