Scope and Content

This manuscript contains a copy of the poem Gülşen-i Envar by Yahya Bey of the Dukagjini family of Albania. It was likely composed during his exile in the Sancak of Zvornik, Bosnia. On f 1r, the following text is written in Ottoman Turkish: Martin 1849 Ayntab bir Şam'da nusuh olunmuştur. Another inscription is found on f 88v, in German: Copiren lassen in Anteb in Syrien.
